As announced, the President of COP15 Desertification actually took part in the first panel of the ChangeNow 2023 Forum which focused on the regeneration of ecosystems through nature-based solutions. This intervention was an opportunity for him to once again present the Great Green Wall initiative, which is a concrete example of natural ecosystem regeneration. He was also able to highlight the contribution of the private sector in the fight against desertification through several actions including the creation of the Alliance for the Great Green Wall which is a consortium of private sector companies and NGOs involved in the financing of projects within the GMV.
