At the end of his activities today, the President of COP15 Desertification held a working session with the Armenian Minister of the Environment to review the drought-related difficulties that Armenia is facing. Thus, they decided to set up a think tank aimed at supporting the formulation of a roadmap for an effective fight against land degradation in Armenia. Beyond the commitment of President Alain-Richard DONWAHI to put the Armenian Ministry of the Environment in contact with private sector operators specializing in the restoration of degraded lands, they considered it useful to organize a conference on drought in this country in 2024.
