As a prelude to the panel which brought together several personalities including the Saudi Minister of the Environment and the representative of the GEF, Alain-Richard DONWAHI made a speech, at the land and drought pavilion of the UNCCD, during the event dedicated to synergy of the three (03) Rio conventions. This was the place for him to recall the urgency of concerted action between all stakeholders in the fight against environmental challenges in general and between the secretariats of the three (03) conventions in particular. Thus, he noted the need to implement concrete projects which are based on the interconnection of the three (03) issues (climate/desertification/biodiversity) in order to find better answers to these questions.
